Getting to the Event

Parking: Those traveling with their own vehicle are advised to use the hotel’s Valet service. All costs will be covered by Arc. Let them know you are with Arc Institute. Self parking will not be available.

Rideshare: Please note that rideshares are not very reliable transportation from the venue due to the relatively remote location. If you are planning to take a rideshare to or from the retrat, we recommend booking a ride in advance. Arc can support reimbursements for rideshare if needed, although we suggest driving your own vehicle or carpooling with others. For reimbursement requests, contact the event team.

Arrival

Arrival: Please arrive between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15th to enjoy our Welcome Lunch. Upon arrival, you can bypass the hotel front desk and head directly to the Registration Table. There, we will have designated baggage storage at Event Registration to store your things until the allotted room key pick-up time in the afternoon.

Valet Service: There will be only one small road getting in and out of the valet area. Plan to arrive early to accommodate for any possible wait or long lines. As you approach the valet service, let them know that you are with Arc Institute.

Check-In and Registration

There is no need to check-in or check-out at the venue front desk unless you plan to order room service or book spa services. For those interested in this, you may go to the venue front desk during the allotted room key pick-up time where you will be requested to place a personal credit card for room service or spa expenses. Check-out will be at 11:00 AM.

Room keys will be distributed at the Registration Table on the first day. Some keys may be available upon arrival, and some will be provided after presentations. Once you receive your room key in the afternoon of the first day, you will have time to get settled into your room before dinner.

Wi-Fi

The below wi-fi network will be active for our guest for the full duration of the event. This network is valid in our dedicated event spaces and throughout the entire venue.

The Venue

We are thrilled to return to Half Moon Bay, California for the 2026 Investigator Retreat. Located just 30 miles from Arc's headquarters along the stunning Pacific coastline, this charming seaside town provides a tranquil escape from the everyday — offering researchers the ideal environment to connect, collaborate, and engage in meaningful scientific exchange.

Retreat programming and lodging will both take place at 1 Miramontes Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
